Questions, answered.

How does BananaCal count calories from a photo?

Take a photo of your meal. BananaCal's AI recognizes each food on the plate, estimates the portion and calculates calories, protein, carbs and fat. You can review and change everything before you save.

How accurate are photo estimates?

For most everyday meals they are close, but they are estimates: hidden oil, sauces and very mixed dishes are harder to judge from a photo. You can always correct a food or a portion, and for packaged products the barcode scanner uses the values on the label.

Can I change a meal after saving it?

Yes. Open the meal to change foods and grams, or tell the AI nutritionist what's wrong and it recalculates everything for you.

What is the AI nutritionist?

A chat inside the app. You can log meals, water and weight by typing or talking, ask what to eat with the calories you have left and see how your week went. It remembers your goals and preferences. It offers general guidance, not medical advice.

Can BananaCal help me lose weight?

BananaCal sets a daily calorie target from your details and your goal, whether you want to lose weight, maintain it or build muscle, and shows your progress over time. If you have a medical condition, talk to your doctor or a registered dietitian first.

How much does BananaCal cost?

BananaCal is free to download. BananaCal Premium unlocks every feature, and you can try it free for 3 days before the subscription starts. You can cancel anytime in your App Store settings.

Which devices does it work on?
